Fading West is a modular housing manufacturer located in Buena Vista. Originally founded in 2016, they opened a 110,000 square foot manufacturing facility in 2021 to support year-round production of modular homes to serve communities throughout Colorado.

Modular manufacturing allows for home construction to take place in an indoor, high-efficiency environment, after which the homes are shipped to communities and placed or assembled on site.

CHFA was proud to support Fading West through its Cash Collateral Support (CCS) program in 2021 and 2022 to support the growing business and the high demand for modular housing.

“CHFA has been supportive of Fading West from the beginning, and they have been fantastic to work with,” said Eric Schaefer, Chief Development Officer at Fading West. “Our modular housing factory in Buena Vista could not have been built without the partnership and financial assistance provided by CHFA.”

In 2023, Fading West received $2,000,000 through the Proposition 123 Modular Finance program managed by the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, for which CHFA serves as Contract Administrator.
