Aly and Josh, CHFA homeowners in Johnstown, moved often as a young couple due to Josh’s job. As they prepared to start a family, they knew they wanted to pursue homeownership. CHFA’s down payment assistance supported their home purchase in the spring of 2015. Their son, Jaxon, was born later that year.

"As soon as we got the keys, we went to the house and took a photo to mark our first big purchase as parents: a house for our kids to grow up in,” said Aly. “We weren’t just husband and wife anymore; we were going to be parents. And we wanted something stable for our kids.”
