Housing professionals work with diverse tenants, staff, and service providers, each bringing unique cultural perspectives on communication, professionalism, and feedback. Providing feedback in a way that resonates across cultures is critical for building trust, ensuring understanding, and maintaining positive relationships in housing communities. Yet giving feedback effectively requires an understanding of how different cultures perceive communication, hierarchy, and professionalism.

This training offers the tools to navigate these challenges with confidence and empathy. Our time together will equip you with practical strategies to navigate cultural differences, provide effective feedback, and foster respectful, productive relationships within their communities, leading to stronger tenant relations and more effective team management.

Attend this training to:

  • recognize how cultural values shape feedback styles (e.g., direct vs. indirect, formal vs. informal communication);
  • adapt feedback approaches to effectively address performance, tenant concerns, and team dynamics; and
  • identify and navigate differing expectations of professionalism, including time management, conflict resolution, and communication norms.

As an offering within the Housing Professionals Institute, class credits may be allocated to a Leadership Certificate, Management Certificate, or Onsite Professionals Certificate.

This class will not be recorded.
