Are your clients feeling hopeless in their search for employment? Sometimes it seems like an endless task to search for a job, especially when justice-involved or lacking educational requirements.
During this webinar, hosted by the Human Services Network of Colorado, we will discover proven methods to help build a solid plan, open up employment options, and develop partnerships to overcome these struggles and obstacles.
Sources discussed will include felony-friendly opportunities, apprenticeships, on-the-job training (no experience necessary), opportunities for those without a high school diploma or GED, and career training programs.
Together we will:
- discuss current and local employment resources and opportunities;
- identify and discuss ways to improve support for families in need;
- develop additional communication streams for up-to-date resources for adequate employment and compensation; and
- strategize ways to improve community relationships and partnership opportunities for employment, resources, hiring events, and recruitment fairs.
Lastly, we will discuss the coaching relationship as it pertains to setting client expectations, reviewing obstacles and barriers, improving introductions and follow-up, and developing an online strategy for job applications.
Two breakout sessions will build upon the topics above.
Chfareach registration will close when capacity is reached or at close of business on Friday, February 14 to allow time for coordination with the class host, Human Services Network of Colorado. This workshop will not be recorded.
