Online
Location: Attendee Hub, https://cvent.me/MlloxQ
Log in: 8:55am MT
Class: 9:00am to Noon MT
This class matches the expertise of HUD's Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity with the trauma-informed management philosophies used at WellPower (the mental health center of Denver).
The session will review Fair Housing, including accommodations and modifications, with a lens on those whose disabilities are related to their mental health diagnoses.
Out of this session, housing providers will:
- understand what tenants must do to receive an accommodation;
- expand their view of the limitations and opportunities of a full review process;
- anticipate possible responses they may receive from residents; and
- receive coaching on trauma-informed responses that can help residents to move forward.
Keeping people housed can be a challenge. Take advantage of the opportunity for consultation on your personal scenarios and real-life events. Ample time will be allowed for questions and discussion.
This workshop will not be recorded.
Cost: $50 nonmember
