kristi budish named chfa’s director of community development
(DENVER) – Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kristi Budish to director of community development. Budish has been a member of CHFA’s staff since 2010, most recently serving as manager of commercial operations and underwriting.
“Stepping into the role of director of community development is a tremendous honor,” said Budish. “I am excited to continue to collaborate with communities and partners across the state as we work toward a stronger, more prosperous Colorado.”
As director of community development, Budish will lead a team responsible for multifamily lending, Housing Tax Credit allocation, and business finance, supporting CHFA’s mission to strengthen Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development.
“Kristi’s dedication and experience will serve her well as CHFA’s director of community development,” said Steve Johnson, CHFA’s chief operating officer. “Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated a passionate commitment to CHFA’s mission, and I look forward to her carrying that commitment into this new role.”
Following more than a decade of experience in asset management and development, Budish joined CHFA’s Asset Management division in 2010. In 2017, her role expanded to include oversight of multifamily underwriting within CHFA’s Community Development division. Budish graduated from the University of Colorado Denver and is an alumni of the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) Executive Development Program.
