Raquel and Joseph made it their goal to own a home in 2023, and when it came time to explore how to explore the steps to becoming homeowners, they used CHFA’s homebuyer education class to learn more about the process.

“We had no idea what was involved in buying and owning a home, and CHFA’s homebuyer education class was so helpful in learning about everything involved,” Raquel explained. “It was good to have all of the information as we took such a big step. We wanted to feel safe and secure, and we did.”

Today, Raquel and Joseph are enjoying their new home in Denver, where they live near their community of friends and family.

"Being so young and owning our own property makes us really proud,” Raquel added. “Now that we have our own home, we love having our nieces and nephews over and to host parties with our friends and family in our new house.”
