Betty Ann Dittemore
In 1973, Representative Betty Ann Dittemore of the Colorado General Assembly sponsored House Bill 1111, which established CHFA. She went on to serve as the first and only woman on CHFA’s inaugural Board of Directors.
Craig Archibald
Craig Archibald’s career spanned a variety of roles in affordable housing and economic development, including helping to lead the development of CHFA’s commercial lending programs in the 1980s, and serving as CHFA’s Deputy Executive Director.

Cris White’s career spanned more than 35 years at CHFA, and 15 years as Executive Director and CEO. With compassion and integrity, he helped build up CHFA’s reputation as a champion of collaboration.

A long-time resident of Animas View Mobile Home Park in Durango, Dan Hunt is an advocate for mobile home communities and a voice for cooperative resident and community ownership of parks across Colorado.
David “Dave” Barba
In his capacity as Colorado’s State Auditor, J. David “Dave” Barba served on CHFA’s Board from 1995 until his death in 2001. He was known by colleagues as a genuine and detail-oriented person who was passionate about CHFA’s mission.
David W. Herlinger
David “Dave” W. Herlinger was CHFA’s longest tenured Executive Director, filling the role from 1977 until his retirement in 2000. His 23 years of leadership were marked by substantial organizational growth and evolution.

Jim Roberts
Jim was hired by CHFA as the Director of Legal Operations in 1974, its first year of operation. Jim was CHFA’s fifth employee, working under the leadership of Walter Kane, CHFA’s first Executive Director.

John Parvensky served as the Executive Director of Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) from 1985 until his retirement in 2023. The organization experienced tremendous growth during that time as CCH worked to meet the needs of homeless Coloradans.
